anyway, the A380 is superb. being a newbie, i requested for the upperdeck! it was so spacious and oh boy, i managed to sleep the 12 hours journey through. its a freakin useful skill (ok, i admit, i do get airsick so whats better then to sleep the whole way through right?). arrived in Paris early Wednesday morning and headed to the hotel.

the company usually put the hubs up at the Meridien, so heck, not bad right? if we were to go on our own, i would stay in a dodgy backpacker hostel.

anyway, the hubs had arranged the day and we started the day with a nice brekkie (CROISSANT) – it was awesome! for 5 Euro you get a shot of coffee, a glass of OJ and a nice warm croissant.. yummy..(as you can tell by now, im freaking lazy to load photos – i havent been doing so since beginning of the year, so my SD card is pretty full and backlog even from my Taiwan trip in August).

and then we went off to visit the Eiffel Tower. it is just a tower but heck, if im there, i may as well visit it right. no joke, the line to get the ticket was so freaking long and it took us 1 hour waiting in line to go in. it was worth it. and of course we had a glass of champagne at the tip of the tower. how romantic (go awww!) since we’re both alcoholic, may as well enjoy the scenery of Paris in style no?

and then we started walking by the river, walk walk walk, passed so many monuments and saw gypsies in act. crap man! some followed tourists (of course the hubs is street smart since he’s travelled to many countries and heard stories). a young gypsie followed us from the train station but heck we quickly walk into a store. anyway, the story was that while walking by the river, a male gypsie was following another asian couple from behind. me being kepo of course will stare as i was worried for the couple. he passed us and bent down and showed us an OBVIOUS fake golden ring. normal greedy people would say its theirs, but heck, the fake golden ring couldnt be more fake and of course we knew their scam, we just ignore and walk away. down the road 200m, another older gypsie woman conned an old angmo man. the stupid guy claimed that either the jewelry was his and took it. the gypsie woman followed after and demanded for money? man, isnt this tactic old and i wonder why people still fall for it?

anyway, guess where we walked to?

as it was time consuming and the clock was ticking, i choose not to go in. hubs been there so nothing new for him. im not interesting in arts so Mona Lisa, one day ill see you!

we head back as we had a dinner surprise date organised by the hubs at night! he had arranged for us to have dinner on the river cruise + jazz music + wine + champagne the lots! nice and romantic no? anyway the cruise takes you down the river and of course you can see loads of monument along the way and churches. it was awesomely romantic. of course the highlight was the Eiffel Tower at night

well i got to say Paris can be over rated. whats worth it to me is to see the Eiffel Tower at night.

the next morning, the hubs had arranged for us to go on a bike tour  the guide was awesome and we choose to tour Versailles on the bike. we got the bike from town and took it on the regional train to Versailles. there was a group of 18 people and of course half were Aussies. Oi Oi Oi! Versailles is where the beautiful Chateau was built by King Louis XIV. We cycled around the town and bought fresh products (cheese, wine, salami, roast meat, croissant) for picnic at the Chateau garden. the view was simply amazing. you can google the pics!

after the long 8 hour bike tour and chateau visiting, we decided to head for dinner. guess what i had?

guess? right? no? the hubs didnt even dare to try

yes, i finally had some of course escargot to start and STEAK TARTARE and creme brulee for dinner. Steak Tartare is a meat dish made out of finely chop minced raw beef. it was delicious! the thought of eating raw beef was a little bit put off, and the freaking waiter did not even want me to have them. i insisted since heck im all the way in Paris and I cant even try that? he gave in and it was edible. taste creamy! yummo.. we wanted to head to Moulin Rouge but heck we were so tired from the day before and a whole day of cycling

The final day in Paris was spent of course exploring the shops! i didnt shop much but hey you’re in Paris you have to at least pretend to buy those branded goods. helped a few friend to buy their Longchamp and of course I made a purchase in one of the other shop to. Who wouldnt when the generous loving hubs had gave me some spending money! bwahahaha..

no trip is completed if you do not try at least a macaroons?

im usually not a big fan of macaroons cos i find them too sweet, but maybe just because im in Paris, it tasted freakingly awesome!

we ended the day with some purchases and and and a dinner at Le Relais de l’Entrecote. Its basically a shop that specialises in steak (only 1 kind (medium/rare) with their secret sauce, where you get unlimited fries). i did a search and Singapore has one too, so might give it a go and try. as for the steak, it comes in 5 small slices and they serve you 2 rounds. yummy.. i love the secret sauce!

that concludes the trip to Paris with one happy wife and her purchases and her big belleh. life is awesome

and heck, imma going to KL for a wedding next week and and Adelaide in 2 weeks for another wedding and and i havent decided whether I should stay back in Adelaide or Melbourne or head to Perth to see the lil one or back to Kuching. sigh, life as a jet setter wanna be is really hard!

yes, we finally made it to the 2nd year. well, happy 2nd year anniversary hun!

we did not do much as i had to work (obviously) while he planned our dinner date. he decided to surprise me with a dinner at the cliff at sentosa spa resort. food was delicious and the ambience was perfect. the hubs never fails to surprise me (but often, his plans were spoiled as i found out somehow)

ie. the proposal 3 years ago (mom called and sort of let the cat out of the bag)

ie. i accidentally saw the booking for our dinner this year (initially planned for the Jewel cablecar)

ie. he delivered 99 roses to the office (plan was spoiled as the florist called me earlier to check if i was in the office – wtf?)

anyway, blessed the best hubs! last year we spent our 1st year anniversary dining in a quaint italian restaurant over looking the sea at Cinque Terre in Italy.

as my leave was not approved for a whole week in September, we decided to push our yearly trip back a month and we will be going to Paris in 2 days! the hubs is working and heck, imma cheapskate nowadays too so at least we’re saving on accommodation. cant wait to go to Paris, although for a short period of time, but its worth it. i can always go back anyway since the hubs now travel to limited places due to the A380 limited destination.

i really wanted to go to the Moulin Rouge but we can save it for another day. I am thinking Disneyland (call me a big kid) and and of course Eiffel Tower, Versailles, window shopping, eating croissants, escargot, champagne, etc..

to the wonderful hubs, its been an adventurous and loving 2 years and now we have 2 fur babies to look after. our life is constantly blessed and perhaps we should start planning for another baby? bwahahahaha..

i havent been doing any housework for a long while. blame my good life. we have a cleaner that comes once a week to help with general cleaning and ironing! yipiee.. but heck her host family has some family over hence she is unable to clean for the last 2 weeks. eeks, so there you go, poor old soul had to mop, vacuum, clean the toilet and iron the whole day today. i must say it is a very good work out. yes, i am spoiled! why do i want to spend 4 hours of my beautiful weekend to do housework when i can spend it under the sun or shopping or watch tv or swimming or playing with the dogs? make sense no? then again, getting help in this part of the world is pretty cheap unlike those days in Aussie.

since i had my first weekend alone after a long while, yesterday i decided to walk to tampines mall. usually takes 15mins by the condo bus, and it took me nearly an hour by foot. such a good long walk but heck i walked at 1130am and had a tan! i better go earlier the next time. i most probably will walk again next weekend.

in the mean time, i kinda love my PT. he is young but heck motivating. so far i have lost a few kg  but heck i must learn my lesson. never to not exercise as those weight pile back on me so darn quickly.

the bfriend wedding is in 6 weeks and I am somewhat tone. i want to get a tone guns and by the look at it its err maybe 30% there?

i got back from my Taipei trip. it was awesome. had heaps of food and absolutely loved it. we were blessed as i had a local gf who brought us around. all we did was ate ate ate ate ate. not complaining. we even tried stinky tofu and visited the shop where the first bubble was created. it was delicious.

then i had another trip home to Kuching. brought my lovely colleagues around. not like we had many days there, it was merely a 2 day 1 night trip where we flew in on a Saturday morning and back on a Sunday night. it was of course full of food food food. and managed to sneak in a trip to the anah rais longhouse and also semenggoh wildlife centre where we saw some orang utans. the night ended of course with more drinks with the friends who couldn’t believe that i do not go back that often despite being 1.5hr away from home. there was a bottle of whiskey, vodka and loads of tequilla. i really do kinda miss that life style. the parents and animals at home was of course well

then there is more trips to look forward to: Paris in 2 weeks, KL in 4 weeks, Adelaide in 6 weeks and Perth in 12 weeks.

life is truelly blessed.

and then i got my ma on my back telling me how great it is to have kids! i really love other peoples kid, but having my own? crap, i cant shut them up and return them to the maker. man, i make a very bad mother.

have i really been that busy until i’ve neglected this blog?

well well, we’ll be off to Taiwan tomorrow. cant wait but im feel i have the bug. my throat is sore and my body is aching, it better not be a FLU. my gf in Taiwan will bring us around and heck, what diet?

so far, i’ve been seeing my trainer religiously twice a week. and it has been 6 weeks and i only lost 2 freaking kg. i have a food diary to constantly remind myself not to overeat. not that i do but heck, its a good reminder. so no more bubble tea for me (boohoo). i have 8kg more to lose before my target weight. its alot as i have freakingly gained that much over the last year. the hubs has lost 5kg with his healthy diet and also daily runs. crap. i wish i had his high metabolic rate.

but Taiwan means:

FOOD FOOD FOOD ; i must eat their mee sua, smelly tofu, bubble tea, papaya milk, chicken cutlet etc.

i can’t wait.

oh, we’re also saving to buy our 2nd property in Australia. FML

ill be living like a pauper for the next few years until we recover again or until another next property hopefully in Malaysia.

and what about the present? i know you’ve been eyeing on that ipad and could not bring yourself to buy one. enjoy it and pftt. dont forget to allow me 20mins a day to play angry bird while im in the toilet also, now that you have that ipad, can that iMac be mine? i am starting to get used to your iMac and is loving it. my bloody small netbook is killing my eyes and i think i might to wear glasses soon.

have you checked the pee pan? i think our beloved daugther Waffle might have left a birthday cake for you. she knew that carrot cake is so favourite cake, so i have been feeding her heaps of carrot in hope that the cake will have carrot? *har har* geddit?

your fury kids and i wish you all the best for the coming year and keep up with your healthy habits. dont get too skinny as i will look like a whale next to you. i promise to be more loving and that i will do some housework NOT i think i will stick to paying Jane to do all our housework. i will work even harder to pay for her salary

well, what have i done so far?

- i went back in Perth for a week and absolutely enjoyed every moment. maybe we should move back?
- my weekly helper have found a permanent role. boohoo, i now have to spend time cleaning. such a bum i know, but heck its the perks of moving back to Asia. and why should i clean when i only have 2 days of rest. bwahaha..so spoiled i know.
- our doggies are well. ralphie seem to gained abit of that much needed weight. waffle is an angel as always
- im back at the gym. ive hired a PT to do condo gym. its worth it! he’s good and i see him twice a week. once every few days ill head to the gym with the hubs myself. i need to lose the bloody weight for the bestfriend wedding year end. im the freakin bridesmaid and my ass is as big as the couch!

oh, whats there to look out for?

- a shanghai themed wedding this saturday
- the hubs 21st birthday (+8) next week. such a good wife, i bought him his dream pressie, an ipad! bwahaha.. oh well, he bought me 2 longchamp bags last week during his trip to paris so i should be nicer to him
- a trip to london, paris, taiwan and adelaide! yahoo…

and there, thats what i call a wife of a pilot.

will be tagging along on 2 of his long flights, not that i have a choice as he flies to limited places now with his new fleet.

whats up with you guys?

in a week time, ill be back in perth again with the family. i cant wait. we’ll be driving down to margaret river and i kinda miss living in aussie, having those weekend drive by the country side. i havent been back to margaret river for almost 10 years now and i cant wait despite it being freakin cold.

ive also decided to hire a PT again. freakin ass is getting bigger by the day and if i dont do something about it ASAP, ill look like a whale for my bestfriend wedding year end. and heck, i cant look like that in front of an ex bf! mwahaha…

so i have so many programs to look forward to in the next few weeks!

and i cant wait!

and whats with people thinkin im a rich tai tai when im clearly not?

obviously i am independent and of course work to earn my own money. so whats the education for, if i do not wish to work, i may as well go and marry some old rich man! bwahaha..

attended a friend’s baby 1st month and its like a mini gathering for kuchingites. so many kuchingites in Singapore these days. tonight, in a few minutes ill be crashing prema’s place for an After Election Party! its Singapore polling day today and i cant wait to see the result for one of our ex lecturer whos contesting for the opposition. all the best to him!

ah and also, to continue my post on being married to a frequent flyer;

perks;

• time alone to blog/ be a couch potato
• great gifts from overseas – ie i can get my fav duck from London, fav toiletries from the USA, fav designer bags from Paris/Milan and the list goes on
• free trip once a year and and cheap flights

drawbacks:

• sometime you wont have your husband for the weekend and this can go on for a month. its hard when you’re working full time and have weekends off to do things together
• you will feel freaking tired as he has so much energy when you get back from work and love to yakyak yak when you’re feeling really tired and need that sleep. in conclusion; perhaps its best to find a job which has flexi hours and allows you to work from home. otherwise, like us, i feel really irritated and tired from my weeks work and feel bad if i dont entertain his nonsese. i seriously do need my sleep and heck, i guess his life isnt the same anymore.

im getting freaking old and need my rest…grr..

i can almost imagine the hubs telling me to stop complaining!
